Like everyone, our plans were a little disrupted over the last year, but we're delighted to relaunch learning activities this summer with a series of exciting new projects. Over the next few weeks we'll be revealing more about what's in store.

These exciting new projects wouldn't be possible without the support of our amazing funders. We want to say a special thank you in particular to two organisations that have enabled us to broaden access to our activities and hit the ground running this year.

Young Westminster Foundation and Westminster City Council’s Strengthening the Sector Fund has provided us with the support to develop our offer for out-of-school provision, allowing us to bring unique learning experiences on the canal to children and young people beyond school settings.

Young Westminster Foundation do incredible work in the borough to create brighter futures for local young people. As well as supporting organisations like us, they conduct essential research that centres the experiences of young people. Their most recent needs analysis, 'Our City, Our Future', is available to read here: https://www.youngwestminster.com/our-city-our-future/

John Lyon’s Charity have provided transformative multi-year funding that means the Floating Classroom has been able to maintain momentum and continue to develop its learning programmes, despite the challenges of the pandemic.

You can learn more about the John Lyon's Charity and the grants they provide to create opportunities for children and young people to learn, grow and develop through education here: https://www.jlc.london/
